[Saturday was wonderful. The best part is that the Solar Cafe has great food for sale. And, there are lots of flavors of smoothies or shakes. Mango and Passion Fruit are the most fun! Healthy and natural food. Also, great bands.]
The NY Solarfest / Concert For Peace will be held on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 from 11 am until 7 pm. The NY SolarFest is an annual event held at the Solar Café, One First Ave., in Brentwood. This year, with the combined efforts of the Suffolk Peace Network and the Be In Festival Productions, Inc., the event hopes to raise public awareness regarding global warming and global warring. This community event is free to the public and will host a variety of music, entertainment, vendors and activists tables. The list of musicians includes: Karma Sutra, Jack’s Waterfall, Free Grass Union, George & Julius and many, many more. Ahmad Ali of WBAI 99.5FM Radio will also be the Master of Ceremonies for the weekend.
The Green Party will have a table at the festival. Separately, PeaceSmiths, Inc. will also have a table (with lots of surprises from the archives.)
