— Delegate Update —
With data from 30 states so far, McKinney has 343.5 delegates out of the 643 that have so far been awarded for the Green Party National Convention in Chicago, July 12. We are only two weeks out now from the Chicago Convention. We’re urging supporters particularly in those states where Convention delegates have not yet been instructed to use our volunteer form and let us know how you’d like to help build this campaign in your community.
— New Tools You Can Use to Campaign —
We’re pleased to announce the availability of new campaign materials ready for download and local duplication. This handsome series of new literature was beautifully designed and produced by Connecticut Campaign supporter, Todd Laracuenta of Maralex Designs. Building on the themes for the nation’s economic renewal and conversion articulated in our previous piece, “Are you Voting Blue, while Living in the Red? Vote Green Instead!”, this series includes an affordable to reproduce quarter-sheet, plus ten half-sheet designs which highlight key elements of Ms. McKinney’s Economic Platform. Each is available for download in both color and black-and-white. They all leave the back blank for printing your local contact information and event announcements. Link here to download the entire set now: http://www.runcynthiarun.org/CampaignMaterials
— McKinney Campaign Launches Virtual Phone Bank —
We have launched a virtual phone bank to help build this campaign. This is a new kind of phone bank; one connected by the internet, made affordable by your unlimited long distance dialing plan and staffed by Powerful Campaign Supporters from Bangor, Maine to the Islands of Hawaii. This new program will make it possible for our campaign to spread our campaign’s message of empowerment, identify and mobilize campaign supporters, raise the financial and volunteer resources so critically needed by this campaign, and ultimately turn out the vote on election day to deliver all Power to the People. This program is made possible by volunteer energy. Please see our help wanted ads below for details on how you can get involved.
This past Sunday eight McKinney supporters gathered in Detroit with cell phones and using this application dialed about 150 numbers in less than two hours. Whether you come together or work alone, this is a great way to help build the campaign.
