The Huntington Chapter of the Long Island Progressive Coalition hosts a series called “Patriot Games.” The topic at hand is “Third Parties.” The scheduled speaker had to withdraw. And, a new event was created… Do we need a national third party? A debate: David Sprintzen of LIPC v. Kimberly Wilder, writer for Independent Political Report. […]

Kimberly (that’s me) starts writing over at Independent Political Report

I am excited. Independent Political Report (IPR) is a good source of news for third party people, as well as for independent voters and candidates. We get news from them a lot. And, they sometimes link to our site. Now, I am on the writing team over at IPR. I am writing with my new […]

This is Kimberly Wilder’s good-bye message to the Green Party

It is with some regret, and many mixed feelings that I am announcing my resignation from the Green Party.

What is green?

On the national Green Party list, every once in awhile, we get in a cycle of self-reflection. The piece below is from a post that les evenchik made on a national Green Party list. With his permission, I edited it in hopes of crystallizing one definition of green politics. -KW – Towards a definition of […]

Some non-violent revenge on Bernie Madoff

Bernie Madoff did something very wrong. He stole resources from people. He stole resources from charities and foundations that affect people in need. Though, he is now out on bail, living in his fancy apartment in New York City. What should a peace activist, who believes in non-violence, wish for Bernie Madoff? Perhaps, a fair […]

Poll: Were you shocked by Kimberly’s Obama coverage?

This is partially in response to bickering in the Wilder household, and partially in response to us getting slammed by fellow, progressive bloggers at Third Estate Sunday Review. Please vote (unless you are like our friend Roger, and you know not to get in the middle of a couple arguing…) In case it has to […]

Images circling the Hofstra Debate

Someone’s photo of policemen at Hofstra is here. Just heard a report that 15 veterans were wrongly arrested when they tried to demonstrate for peace at the Hofstra gates on debate night. They are being called the “Hempstead 15”. – KW —— The Wilder’s Coverage of Speeches and Debate Screening Well, the presidential debates should […]

Hofstra Debate: “Free Speech”/Public Area Speakers list

Update 10/19/2008: The Free Speech Zone was not that bad. It was very big. And, it bordered the sidewalk where the peace demonstration was. When Ian showed up to speak at 3pm, there were only about 20 people. But, when Betty Davis and I spoke at 7pm, there were hundreds of people inside, as well […]
